On another note: I am a whistleblower

Perhaps my last post wasn’t clear: I am a whistleblower.

Last year, I was made aware of unethical practices around the uses of AI and its various applications, including AI/IA enabled devices, which are often used for medical purposes. Subsequently, I was blackballed, as I detailed in my previous blog “The Problem with Anticipatory Obedience”.

Because of my refusal to stay silent, I am now homeless.

For one, the collection agency hired by my former apartment complex placed an incorrect debt on my credit report. As of today, they have admitted their fault, as their actions were clearly illegal based on the consumer laws we have in this country and per the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - which was recently dismantled. Lawyers and legal clinics are not returning my calls or refuse to take the case, which I will win.

Weird, right?

In addition to this, since my homelessness began in February, I have had issues with Hilton Hotels and Marriott International.

At the Doubletree in Silver Spring - owned by Hilton, there was a forged signature on a receipt for two lemon drops. I do not drink. They refused to let me take a picture of the forged signature. Also, there was an altered tip on a bill - which they refunded, but made me raise an eyebrow.

Upon checking into the Residence Inn in White Oak, I briefly mentioned my situation. Days later, the General Manager and team threatened to call the police on me for taking long showers. Following this, the Assistant Manager came to my door to tell me that taking a long bath was not allowed. Prior to checkout (bc I was clearly unwelcomed, despite staying without incident for a month), they accused me of causing flooding, which I have video evidence to disprove. Also, there was no incidental charge on my account post checkout.

Despite this harassment, I was informed by Expedia that the hotel won't refund me because and I quote ”the issue was related to leaving the tap open in the bathtub, which they consider to be a concern from your end.” No mention of a flood or flood damage. In a time where Black women deserve rest, it does not seem like Marriott agrees that we are allowed to take baths in their hotels, especially in a stressful situation.

At the moment, I will not speak publicly on who is targeting me but I will say that when you fight for truth, equity, women, minorities and children, you may also find yourself targeted. But I felt the need to tell my truth in a time where silence is anything but golden. I will continue to fight for truth and justice and I am determined to keep KC & Co Communications without wavering on my prices or values. After all, the revolution will be televised and it will need good communicators.

Here's how you can help:

1. I require financial resources for legal support (once the lawyers find their balls), a home that I do not have to pay for so I can rest, along with daily needs. You can donate directly by Cashapp $okaykc07, Paypal or check.

2. If you have a home that will be vacant for at least six months, I would greatly appreciate the supportive housing.

3. If you know of any lawyers who are not scared of the current Administration, specifically those who focus on consumer law cases, please let me know.

4. If you are a member of the media and are interested in speaking about the incident with Marriott or the other details (off the record), please reach out.

5. Pray for my family.

6. Pray for me.

7. I will take on new clients when I'm ready, so reach out if you're down to fight the good fight.

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I am grateful that God has endowed me with the wisdom to speak up in a situation where, historically, I've gotten very little support.

As Zora Neale Hurston said: 'If you are silent about your pain, they'll kill you and say you enjoyed it.' And I plan on living and living abundantly to continue to work that God called me to do through my gifts.

Please stay safe and keep fighting,

KC
